COMPONENTS

Tires -Schwalbe nobby nick tires are good tires. They do pretty well in the mud. What I like about them is they roll really good. I ride a lot of dirt trails but also ride some pavement. I like them because they do good in both areas they’re a really good tire.

Shocks – front fork rock shox Pike rc boost 29 inch black 140 millimeters travel, rear fox float performance elite 120 millimeter travel. the front performed good in the rough and soaked up the small stuff overall a good fork. The rear was good at soaking up more of the bigger hits than I thought it would did very well when pedaling overall very good.

Drivetrain -Sram GX eagle 12 speed 32 t front ,11-50t rear. The GX eagle is one of my favorites it performs really well. The gx shifts great. I have not had any complaints with this setup. They are very reliable hold up really good.

Brakes – shimano M6000 disc brakes they are two piston brakes which work good. They are not as powerful as the four piston but for a budget brake they work really good. They are very reliable brake setup.

THE RIDE

Descending – this bike does a pretty good job at descending. Despite having a claimed 68 degree headtube angle ,74.5 seat tube angle I’ve never had any problem with feeling like I was over the handlebar too far like I was going to tip over. This bike did a really good job at descending.

Flow trails – I really like this bike on flow trails the handling is crisp and sharp. This bike really does well when rode fast on flow trails it really handles good when pushed hard. The suspension does a good job at handling the small stuff and it does good on the bigger hits but it could be overwhelmed on really big jumps. This bike really shines on flow trails.

Single track – this bike does good on singletrack. It’s handling makes it easy to take tight switchbacks and maneuver around ruts and rocks. This bike is good for an all day ride on single track.

Climbing – this bike is a good climber the front wheel makes maneuvering around ruts or rocks easy. The peddling platform is good there’s a lockout switch on the shock but I never used it I never had to I have climbed some pretty steep stuff around here in West Virginia.

CONCLUSION – I like this bike I still have it my grandson rides it and loves it. This bike handles really good anybody looking for a good trail bike would really enjoy this bike. I think a lot of people overlooked this bike because of the aluminum frame.

I like aluminum myself I hope this has give you some good insight you can use. I also included a video of this bike the difference is this one is carbon but will still give you an idea about how the bike rides and handles.Dave
